Kumkum Homes
Kumkum Homes is a small organization that builds products end to end and then looks after them. The first is Fracsy, a fraction calculator for Android, now in review with Google Play.
We are not an agency and not a studio taking briefs. We pick a problem we understand, build the thing properly, and stay with it.
We design, build, ship and maintain our software end to end, rather than assembling something and handing it over. What we publish, we keep running.
Every project carries its own documents in the repository, next to the code: what it is for, what was built, what was cut and why. A decision made in month one is still legible in month twelve.
Each product states plainly what it collects, what it needs and what it costs, in its own privacy policy. If any of that changes, the policy changes before the version that changes it.
Each product has its own page, its own privacy policy, and the same support address.

They are the reason our products are small, and the reason we can describe them accurately.
We would rather be a good answer to a narrow question than a passable answer to a broad one. Features that are not carrying their weight get cut before release, not after.
The parts that have to be right are covered by tests that run on every change. Fracsy’s arithmetic engine has 191 of them and uses exact rational maths, so a result is never an approximation.
We develop against inexpensive Android devices and poor connections. If a product is quick there, it is quick everywhere, and it reaches far more people.
