ProvenShot terms of use

What the app is

ProvenShot stamps photos with location, time and related data, and records a Proof ID and a SHA-256 fingerprint for each photo. The free features are provided at no cost. ProvenShot Pro is an optional paid subscription.

These terms apply alongside the general terms at https://kumkumhomes.site/terms/. Where they differ, these terms apply to ProvenShot.

What a stamp does and does not prove

A stamp records what the phone reported when the photo was taken. A fingerprint shows whether a file has changed since ProvenShot saved it. The app labels manually entered and after-the-fact locations and stops while a mock-location app is active, but location services, clocks and sensors can be inaccurate, and no app can fully prevent deliberate manipulation of a phone.

ProvenShot is a documentation tool. It does not certify that a photo is legally admissible. You decide whether it meets your needs.

Subscriptions

Pro is billed by Google Play, monthly or yearly, and may start with a free trial. When a trial ends you are charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play. Refunds follow Google Play’s policies.

Map imagery

Map images are provided by Google Maps and remain subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service at https://maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/. The attribution printed on the map must not be removed.

Acceptable use

Do not use ProvenShot to deceive or defraud anyone, to photograph people or places in breach of the law or anyone’s rights, or to misuse our map server.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided as it is, and we are not liable for losses arising from inaccurate location, time, address or sensor data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
